The local Market Day was always a popular social gathering in villages in bygone years. Fresh farm produce and crafts would have been sold and stories and banter exchanged amongst friends in the village square. On Market Sunday you will see these and many more customs of the Traditional Market Day re-enacted and taking place at Bunratty Folk Park from 12pm -5pm.
An array of farmyard animals can be seen throughout the park on the day and there will be plenty to keep the kids entertained. Enjoy our Irish Wolfhounds, Fionn and Grainne, who have been a popular attraction with young and old visitors alike. They have now been joined by two further additions to the folk park family –a miniature Falabella horse from South America and a Shetland pony - Perry and Winkle.
• Market stalls selling traditional crafts such as hand carved wood products, candles, jewelry, beaded products
• Live Traditional Music

• Fresh produce from the folk park itself will also be on sale
• Flowers and plants from our walled garden
• Freshly baked Bunratty scones, apple pie and porter cake
